It is no secret that big, bold colours are our jam. And Clare Prouvost is very much our jam.
Her work is larger than life (quite literally being a mural painter) and her style is confident and colourful. Stylish strong females are at the centre of her work which are abstracted in a style reminiscent of cubism but oozing power, beauty and bad-assery. Honestly, you can't help but absorb some of the energy and stand a bit taller when you look at her work.
Hence why we've turned it into a scarf!
I hope this sense of confidence, big colour and strong feminine presence abundant in Claire's work is felt by every warrior that wears any Bravery piece - but especially Claire's scarf.

What does a perfect day look like to you?
My perfect looks like a nice morning cuddle with my partner, a quiet breakfast with nice coffee, then going to the studio to work on my personal work, paintings or exciting projects. Then catching up with some friends is also a nice add-on as I work for myself and need some extra human interaction.I am so grateful to be doing what I do for a living, couldn’t imagine my day in any other way.
I still find it amazing that colour has the power to boost a person’s mood and overall wellbeing. And your big, bold, cubism colours certainly give a hit of dopamine! What does your signature colour palette mean to you, and does it still make you happy, even after using it daily?
Oh yes! Colours are influenced by my mood and my surroundings daily, so even if I like a bright palette, it will change through seasons and I will want to express things in a different way. Colour is one of the way I express myself, and one very important part of my work too.
You’ve worked with big brands such as Gucci, Lavazza and Guiness on all kinds of work from large scale murals, beer cans and canvas. When given free rein – what do you love to create the most?
Lately, I have been trying to focus more on personal work in order to grow, and it feels so good and freeing. My background is in graphic design, and always answering to a brief can yet become another routine. Having free rein is scary, exciting and pushing me out of my comfort zone. I guess I have become more self-aware and therefore want to communicate my own state of mind through colour and shape, creating exaggerated characters representing my inner landscape, mood, thoughts at one point in time.
What is the name of your beautiful scarf and the story behind its creation?
I have been taking a lot of live drawing classes at the time to familiarise myself with diverse bodies and representation. No matter what I try to draw, I always come back to the human figure, mostly female since it’s the vessel through which I get to experience the world and a reflection of my identity. This artwork is called ‘Inside Out’ and is about how we project our happiness outward.
What does it mean to know that a bunch of kick ass cancer warriors will be wearing your beautiful design?
It makes my heart feel so warm. I want to cover these beautiful warriors and their bodies with colours, good vibes and positivity.
Tell us where we can find more of your work!
