I'm sorry to read you were disappointed. The silk modal fabric is thin on purpose because we want it to be breathable and light on the head. This is especially important for women suffering hot flushes. It is soft, light and breathable.
However we always style the scarf by folding the scarf and doubling over the fabric so that your head will never feel naked. I can direct you to our tutorials if that helps?
The shipping is expensive as we ship from Australia and the import taxes come from Europe. All stated on our website and unfortunately nothing we have control over.
